Refund and Returns Policy

Overview

At Larson Media & Tech, we specialize in refurbished and pre-owned technology products. All products are tested and verified before sale. Due to the nature of refurbished electronics, we operate under the following return and refund conditions.

General Policy

All sales are final.

We do not offer refunds for:

  • Change of mind
  • Buyer’s remorse
  • Incorrect product selection by the customer
  • Compatibility issues not confirmed with us before purchase

Faulty Products (Within Warranty Period)

  • If a product develops a verified technical fault within the warranty period:
  • The device will first be assessed by our technicians.
  • We will repair the product where possible.
  • If repair is not possible, we may offer:
    • A replacement unit (same or similar specification), or
    • Store credit (at our discretion).
  • Refunds are only considered if:
  • The product is confirmed defective,
  • AND it cannot be repaired or replaced.

Dead on Arrival (DOA) – 48 Hour Rule

  • You must notify us within 48 hours of delivery.
  • The product must be returned in its original condition with all accessories.

Failure to report within this timeframe may void eligibility for exchange.

Return Conditions

  • To qualify for assessment:
  • The product must not have physical damage caused by misuse.
  • No liquid damage.
  • No unauthorized repairs or tampering.
  • Warranty seals (if any) must not be broken.

Shipping Costs for Returns

  • Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the product is confirmed defective
  • If the fault is verified, we may cover reasonable courier costs.

Non-Returnable Items

  • The following are non-returnable:
  • Software installations (Windows installs, upgrades)
  • Special orders
  • Clearance items (if marked final sale)
  • Accessories unless faulty

Compliance with Consumer Protection Act (CPA)

This policy complies with the Consumer Protection Act of South Africa.
Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights under applicable law.
